Why the GVO?

The GVO enriches the Union Square community with quality classical music in a hip downtown
venue.  We are passionate, dedicated musicians with an informal style.  Come to a GVO
concert to relax after Sunday brunch or hours of shopping in Union Square, or to impress a
date or out-of-town guest.   See what these concert-goers have to say.  [

This year's family concert on Sunday, Dec 13 at 3pm features the classic
tale of
Peter and the Wolf in the beloved musical arrangement by Sergei
Prokofiev.  Acclaimed actress
Helen-Jean Arthur will narrate the fantastical
story as Peter ventures out beyond the gate, meeting curious new friends!

Also on the program will be a brilliant performance of Sarasate's
Zigeunerweisen by one of this year's Young Artists Competition winners,
sixteen-year-old
Kevin Lin -- don't miss it!
As always, we will have interactive fun for kids of all ages, including an instrument "petting zoo"
and of course, refreshments after the concert.  Buy your
tickets online here!
